Bryan P. Blue

Research Technician II

Bryan Blue is a Research Technician II in the Center for Environmentally Sustainable Mining (CESM) lab with extensive experience in Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA), sensors, controls, data analysis, computer hardware, and software systems. With hands-on experience growing alfalfa, corn, tomatoes, and lettuce in both greenhouses and vertical farms, Bryan has developed a strong foundation for optimizing plant growth in controlled settings. A highlight of his career includes conducting thesis research at Biosphere 2 in the tropical rainforest biome, where he studied in situ leaf warming of cacao trees. Outside of his professional work, Bryan enjoys working on his computer and capturing nature through photography.
