Hydrogeology Laboratory Specialist at GeoSystems Analysis Inc
GeoSystems Analysis, Inc. is searching for two full-time laboratory specialists. The position will be primarily based in the Tucson, AZ laboratory with occasional fieldwork throughout the Southwest. Laboratory tasks include determining basic soil parameters, conducting saturated and unsaturated hydraulic conductivity testing, as well as construction and calibration of monitoring instruments. Field tasks may include maintenance and installation of monitoring instruments as well as soil and water sampling.
Requirements:
• 2+ years laboratory experience
• BS or MS in Soil Science, Hydrology or another Natural Sciences field
• Excel and Word experience
• Independent problem solving and creativity
• Ability to lift 50 lbs (infrequently)
• Ability to work in extreme environments (infrequently)
Preferred skills:
• Databases and programming (Campbell Scientific)
• Hand and power tool experience
• Building and/or mechanical experience

Student Trainee (multiple), Bureau of Land Management
The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is hiring student trainees for the summer 2023 season in a range of fields. These are internships under the Pathway's Program and students who are U.S. citizens may be non-competitively converted to permanent position.
To apply you must be currently enrolled and seeking a degree (diploma, certificate) in an accredited high school, technical or vocational school, 2-year or 4-year college or university, graduate or professional school, on a full- or half-time basis.
